Cassidy Storey
Community Education Manager
Cassidy’s love for the natural environment and desire to protect it began as a child, as she spent summers exploring the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. This passion stuck with her through her time at Colorado State University, where she graduated with a degree in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. Some highlights of her experience at CSU include an interpretive ranger internship with the Siuslaw National Forest on the Oregon Coast, a research internship studying pollinators in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and an independent thesis exploring human-wildlife interactions in small urban natural areas. Cassidy grew up in Colorado but is excited to apply her knowledge and dedication to the ecosystems of the San Juan Mountains and communicate with people on how to treat their public lands. She is an avid hiker/backpacker/camper and an enthusiastic new member of the SJMA community.
