Join SJMA and a BLM archaeologist to hike through the moon-lit Sand Canyon while learning about the human history of the area. From sunset to moonrise, hikers will visit several of the ruins, discovering how ancient people wove themselves into this landscape.
When: April 26, 2021 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Where: Sand Canyon Trailhead; Heading South/West out of Cortez on County Road 160, you take a right on County Road G, toward the airport, and continue for 12.5 miles. There are two trailheads and we will be using the second (larger) trailhead across the street from Sutcliffe Vineyard.
