Celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day by joining us on a guided, spring wildflower hike at Sand Canyon. We will be going for a hike (no more than 5 miles) on moderate terrain. Along the way we will observe and learn about the flowers in bloom, as well as learn about the area’s geology and human history.
When: May 18, 2024 from 9:00am – 12:00pm
Where: Sand Canyon and Rock Creek Trailhead (the second parking lot coming from Cortez)
What to Bring: Plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen, snacks and/or lunch, hiking shoes/boots appropriate for uneven rocky ground, and layers for the weather. Please note, there are no restrooms in Sand Canyon. No dogs, please. Families welcome!
