The fun\, fact-filled nature hike is considered moderate. \nWe’ll be moving at a “walking” pace for around 3 miles and 430” elevation gain. Wear sturdy walking shoes and clothing layers suitable for the mountain weather including sunscreen\, this is a mostly exposed trail. \nWhen: Saturday October 3rd\, 2026 from 9:00am – 12:00pm \nWhere: Hartman Rocks Recreation Area\, Bambi Trailhead parking area – Gold Basin Road\, CR38\, about 3 miles past the main entrance to the base area. \nWhat to Bring: \n\nLayers of cool and warm clothing\nWater\nSturdy\, supportive footwear\nSnacks\nRain jacket or poncho\nHiking Daypack\nSunscreen and sunglasses\nCamera\n\nCost: Free\, $10 donation is greatly appreciated! \nRegistration is required. Spaces limited to 15 attendees.
