DESCRIPTION:SJMA is co-hosting two Wilderness First Aid (WFA) classes this spring. Prepare for the unexpected with this hands-on introduction to wilderness medicine. Participants who complete the course will receive a certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine which is valid for 2 years. SUMMARY:Spring Clean up at Nature Center
DESCRIPTION:Help SJMA spruce up our outdoor learning lab before our summer season!  There are a variety of tasks ranging from light duty to heavy duty. Join us for thistle weeding\, trail maintenance\, trail mulching\, trash pick-up\, native plant garden planting—hopefully\, and general sprucing up of the place. \nSnacks\, drinks\, and coffee will be provided! \nWhen: April 25\, 2026\, 8am – 1pm \nWhere: SJMA’s Durango Nature Center \nWhat to Bring: Please wear long pants\, long sleeves\, boots\, eye protection (sunglasses or regular glasses are fine\, so long as the lenses aren’t glass)\, and gloves. Safety glasses and gloves are available to borrow upon request. We also recommend sunscreen\, plenty to drink\, snacks\, and lunch. \nAge: Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. \nSign up today!

Walking distance is less than a mile.
