Frank Viehmann, Vice-President (3rd year of second two-year term – term limits at end of 2017)
How does a Midwestern kid practice law and spend time outdoors? Move to Colorado. Thinking he was in the mountains, Frank moved to Denver, went to law school and joined the public defender’s office in 1979. Ten years later, he really did move to the mountains, coming to work for the same employer in Durango. Frank retired a few years ago. He believes the SJMA Board is a good fit for him because he really appreciates the vast open spaces that have been preserved for public use and benefit. He hopes to help SJMA continue as a valuable complement to the land agencies and an effective resource to the public. Frank resides in Durango, CO (La Plata Co).
