Genevive Pena

Visitor Information Specialist / Rio Grande National Forest, Creede & Del Norte offices

Genevive is a fun-loving mother of three wonderful children and granny of six lovely grandchildren, who loves spending time with her family whenever possible.  She is a SLV native who enjoys all the wonderful things the valley has to offer especially the beautiful outdoors. Having the Sangre de Cristos and San Juans practically in your back yard makes camping, hiking and adventuring super easy.  She moved from Denver seven years ago having to commute the I25 rat race from Edgewater to the DTC sometimes spending an hour and half on the highway to and from work daily. Now she has the wonderful privilege of driving from Monte Vista to Creed three to four times a week.  The scenic beauty is incomparable, definitely a little piece of heaven on earth.  She is excited to see what the future holds for her.
