John Bozis

Visitor Information Specialist / San Juan National Forest, Pagosa Office

Living in Colorado for nearly 30 years has provided John with great opportunities to explore this wonderful state. After 24 years of living on the Front Range, he quit his career in dentistry and moved to the Western Slope of Colorado. While selling Powersports vehicles for 2½ years, COVID struck which gave him some impetus to start working in a field that he loves and is passionate about, the great outdoors, more specifically, the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado. He started out working seasonally as our Alpine Loop Ambassador, then our Snow Ambassador, interacting with all the different types of recreationists (OHV riders, snowmobilers, backcountry skiers, snowshoers, etc.) and keeping both our backcountry roads and snowy trails clean. Now, he will continue to befriend Pagosa visitors with his contagious personality and share LNT principles to help folks recreate responsibly.
