Marly Saunders
Volunteer Coordinator
Originally from Virginia, Marly studied environmental science and biology at the College of William and Mary before moving to Colorado to pursue a career in land conservation. Initially, Marly worked on conservation crews for Mile High Youth Corps, removing invasive species and building trails around Denver. After spending a few seasons in the field, she worked as a field coordinator, shifting her focus to project coordination and volunteer organization. She then spent several years working for City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, focusing on youth development via conservation projects with the Junior Ranger program. In 2020, when the Junior Ranger program was cancelled, they shifted the Junior Ranger model to create a youth volunteer program.
Marly spends her free time rock climbing, identifying plants, and trail running and is so thrilled to explore more in the San Juans!
