Meghann Burke

Originally from the east coast, Meg moved to Utah in 2012 and then Colorado in 2020 where she joined SJMA as a Forest Ambassador. She has spent the last two summers promoting Leave No Trace principles across our public lands and recently has supported both our Visitor Information and Education teams. She has a background in emergency services obtaining Wilderness EMT status in 2019 as well as serving on Kane County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue team for 9 years.
Having a passion for the outdoors and our public lands, she can be found wondering around canyons or mountains with one of her dogs anytime she is not out in the field working. She lives in Mancos with her husband, 5 dogs, 35 chickens and 2 horses.
