Ryan Shannon

Board Member: At-Large

Ryan joined the SJMA board thanks to the merger with Durango Nature Studies. Drawn to the natural beauty of Colorado, Ryan wanted to live where adventure in the mountains was in his backyard, so he moved to Denver after graduating from the University of Oklahoma. He and his family moved to Durango in 2019 to provide their children with the opportunity to experience all that SWCO has to offer. They want to pass on the appreciation of open spaces, crystal clear streams and star lit skies to their kids.

Ryan is a lending officer with Alpine Bank. His hobbies are fly fishing in the back country, hiking, skiing, snow shoeing, golf and music. He wanted to get involved in the community to help teach children the importance of the environment and hope that they will grow to protect and value our natural world.
