Ashley O’Brien

Board Member: President

Ashley was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania where she grew up camping and exploring the outdoors. Her love of nature and the environment prompted her to pursue a degree in Environmental Resource Management, and in December 2011 she received her Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University. Four months later she moved to Durango to work on a chainsaw crew for Southwest Conservation Corps removing Tamarisk from Disappointment Valley and fell in love with the area.Ashley spends most weekends camping and hiking in Canyon Country Utah with her fiancée and dog. She currently works in Human Resources for First National Bank of Durango and joined SJMA to become more involved with and support the outdoor community in Durango.
