Want to know more about nature? Flora, fauna, geology, clouds, water, you name it: our trusty crew of volunteer naturalists can enlighten you while on a pleasant stroll in the San Juan Mountains.
The fun, fact-filled nature hike is moderate. We’ll be moving at a “walking” pace for around 1-2 miles. Wear walking shoes and clothing layers suitable for the mountain weather.
When: June 6, 2025 from 10 am – 12 pm
Where: Meet at Haviland Lake parking lot. This is the FIRST small parking area when you turn onto Haviland Lake Rd, before the gate (200 yards off the highway). Parking can be limited at Haviland Lake, so register with a friend or family and carpool if you can!
Cost: Free, but donations greatly appreciated!
What to Bring: Backpack with your water, snacks, camera, and binoculars. Bring hiking poles if you like using them. Sorry, we love our four-legged friends, but no pets allowed.
Registration is required.
