Spring Songs – Audubon Bird Walk: Pagosa Area

We’ve got exciting news! Audubon Rockies and Weminuche Audubon Society join us to kickoff SJMA Pagosa’s 2025 Interpretative Hike Season. This leisurely Bird ID Walk will trace the old Wolf Creek Road grade accessed from West Fork Road north of Pagosa. We expect plenty of birds back in the neighborhood with the spring migration!
When: May 29th, 9am – 1pm
Where: West Fork Road, north of Pagosa Springs;
What to Bring:
- Binocular if you have one
- Plenty of water (recommend 1/2 to 1 liter of water per hour), snacks or lunch
- Hat, sunscreen, weather-appropriate layers, rain poncho
- Hiking shoes or boots for rocky terrain
- Camera
Please Note:
- No restrooms at the trailhead
- No dogs allowed
- Carpooling is encouraged
Cost: Free! A donation to the Weminuche / Rockies Audubon Society would be appreciated.
