Thanks to SJMA’s passionate volunteers and local collaborations, SJMA offers a range interpretive events in the XX region. SJMA’s interpretive events, led by expert naturalists, are family-friendly and free to the public. You’ll leave with a fresh appreciation for and increased knowledge about our natural world.

San Juan Nature Academy for Homeschoolers
(FOR DURANGO AREA & NORTH REGION ONLY) For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, SJMA is offering our San Juan Academy of Homeschoolers to families. This program offers a unique blend of outdoor science education, wilderness skills, and play-based learning—all rooted in the stunning landscapes of Southwest Colorado.
