“Read the Weeds” Invasive Plants ID and Migration Walk, Archuleta County

Join SJMA and Ethan Proud of Archuleta County Weed and Pest on an educational “Read the Weeds” walk to identify some of the unwelcomed invasive weeds species that are taking root in the Pagosa area. This is an educational walk focused on helping participants understand how non-native weeds displace native flora and impact wildlife, as well as how they spread.

When: June 4, 2026 from 9am – 12pm

Where: Fourmile Falls Trailhead, about a 35 minute drive from downtown Pagosa

What to Bring:

• Layers of cool and warm clothing
• Water
• Sturdy, supportive footwear
• Snacks
• Rain jacket or poncho
• Hiking daypack
• Sunscreen and sunglasses
