    White Fir Christmas Tree Cutting

    The Christmas Trees for Conservation lot is our biggest fundraiser of the year! SJMA cuts white firs to assist the San Juan National Forest in preventing disastrous forest fires as the young fir trees act as ladder fuel. Then we sell these trees in the lot by the train station as a local alternative to commercial trees

    Tarantula Day at the Nature Center

    Join SJMA in celebrating tarantula migration with an event at the Nature Center from 10 AM-2 PM.     National Public Lands Day at Canyons of the Ancients

    Join us to celebrate National Public Lands Day by taking care of our public lands. We will join Archaeology experts to learn about the historic landscape and follow this up with a trash clean-up and trail remediation to protect our local landscape.
