Mt. Sneffels Multi-Day Trail Work Project

SJMA is partnering with Colorado 14ers Initiative (CFI) for multi-day trail work project. Work will be overseen by CFI. Details will finalized soon.

When: Evening of Tuesday, September 1 – morning of Thursday, September 3

  • September 1st: Camp at Yankee Boy Basin / Mt. Sneffels Trailhead,
  • September 2nd: Work approx. 8.5 hours. Please be ready to work very early in the morning! Camp back at trailhead.
  • September 3rd: Pack up and head out..

Where: Yankee Boy / Mt. Sneffels Trailhead; Please note, the road to the trailhead is suitable for most crossover/small SUVs until 0.2 miles from trailhead. Unless you have a serious 4×4, you will need to park and carry your camping gear from that point.

What To Bring:

  • Camping gear
  • Wear long pants, long sleeves, and boots or sturdy shoes
  • Be prepared for all types of weather at high altitude. It could be hot and sunny or cold and snowing.
  • Eye protection and work gloves (if you don’t have any or forget these items, you can borrow from us)
  • Tools will be provided
