Bonnie McGuire

Visitor Information Specialist / Canyons of the Ancients National Monument

After eight years in the area and a year at the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument (CANM) book store, Bonnie McGuire is now be able to share her knowledge of the area and the culture with the folks passing through the CANM Visitor Center.

Bonnie was born and raised west of Grand Junction. She left her grocery store job to follow in her parents footsteps, working at National Parks/Monuments. In April 2015, she moved to the Cortez region as a seasonal employee for Aramark at Mesa Verde, then switched to maintenance the following years. She met her husband up there, and the rest is history!

In her free time, she can be found doing gardening/landscaping, preparing food for another weekend BBQ, lounging lakeside with a fishing pole in hand, or wondering through a canyon between here and Bears Ears.
