San Juan Nature Walk, Andrews Lake

June 12 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Want to know more about nature? Flora, fauna, geology, clouds, water, you name it: our trusty crew of volunteer naturalists can enlighten you while on a pleasant stroll in the San Juan Mountains.

Every Friday from June through August, SJMA is offering this fun, fact-filled, moderate nature hike. We’ll be moving at a “walking” pace for around 1-2 miles. Wear walking shoes and clothing layers suitable for the mountain weather.

When: June 12, 2026 from 10 am – 12 pm

Where: Meet at Andrews Lake upper parking lot, scenic view and picnic area. Once on Andrews Lake Rd, take your first left. If you get to the lake, you’ve gone too far.

Cost: Free, but donations greatly appreciated!

What to Bring:

  • Prepare for chilly mountain weather and possible rain storms
  • Backpack with your water, snacks, camera, and binoculars.
  • Bring hiking poles if you like using them.
  • Sorry, we love our four-legged friends, but no pets allowed.

Registration is required. Spaces limited to 15 attendees.
