Vicki Cooper

Visitor Information Services Coordinator, Rio Grande National Forest

Vicki’s love of nature began in childhood, exploring the Weminuche Wilderness and experiencing farm life in Kansas.  That early connection shaped a lifelong passion for outdoors and a diverse professional path. After years of raising goats and traveling to southwest Colorado, she made Creede her permanent home in 2025.

Today, Vicki spends her time fishing, camping. And hiking with her dogs.  She believes deeply in the power of nature and is dedicated to conservation and education.

“It is my wish that everyone can have a profound experience in nature.”
