Are you looking for ways to help steward our public lands? We’ve got options! Celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day by learning how you can give back to our beloved public lands through volunteering.
Volunteering is a great way to steward our lands and support the conservation and outdoor recreation organizations in our region. We hope you can join many of the SCCORR Stakeholders along with other area organization: Durango Nordic Center, Durango Trails, Continental Divide Trail Coalition, La Plata County CSU Extension, San Juan Mountains Association, San Juan Citizens Alliance, San Juan Sledders, Sierra Club, Winter Wildlands Alliance, and more.
Groups will highlight volunteer opportunities they offer throughout the year.
- Highlight the importance of public lands
- Engage the public in stewardship actions and ethos
- Foster common ground among user groups and organizations
- Meet the call for education and outreach
